Confined Space Awareness (4-6 hours)


Working in confined spaces can be an everyday function in many workplaces but are very dangerous unless proper procedures are followed. Employers must properly identify these spaces and ensure that proper safety training and entry/exit plans are in place for all workers.

  • Definition of a confined space
  • Responsibilities of workers, supervisors, and employers
  • Identify potential hazards
  • Lockout tagout regulations
  • Types of hazardous gases and substances
  • Entry permits
